Life can sometimes be challenging, filled with bumps and unexpected changes. In our busy schedules it can be helpful to set aside time to intentionally slow down and process difficult things that keep us from living as whole-heartedly as we would like. Counseling is a block of time where individuals can sort out struggles, relationship issues and hurts, and experience increased understanding, growth in resilience, hope and healing.
My Master's degree, in marriage and family therapy from George Fox University, and Bachelor's degree in psychology from Marylhurst University highlight a systemic person-centered approach working with individuals, couples and families. I appreciate that we are each unique in our own perspectives and needs therefore I utilize various theories and applications that are applicable to each client. I have training in sand tray, play and filial therapy, EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy), and art-based therapeutic approaches that can be integrated into working with a variety of issues such as: social/emotional challenges, life transitions, communication issues, and relationship difficulties.
