The Hope Connection offers an opportunity for graduate students who are in a Master's level Clinical Mental Health program or a Marriage and Family Therapy program to complete both their Practicum and Internship requirements for graduation. During the 12 month internship, you will learn how to develop and manage a private practice. This includes: professional development and how to market yourself both online and in person; how to build up a caseload of 10-15 weekly clients; how to balance your personal life with professional; how to diagnose, how to write treatment plans and progress notes and much more. As an approved internship site with CACREP accredited schools, our qualified graduate student interns are able to provide low fee services to those who need financial assistance and/or don't want to use insurance.
Our 3 step process:
Step 1- Virtual interview with both Liz and Shari
Step 2- Connect with a current student intern by phone to briefly ask questions
Step 3- If you are still interested after your chat, contact us- we will then have you come in person to the Portland location to participate in role plays and if all goes well, sign a contract.
If you are interested in more information regarding our internship opportunities, please send your resume and school site requirements to Liz Gregory at Liz@hopeconnectioncounseling.com AND Shari Davison at Shari@hopeconnectioncounseling.com. We would like to hear why you believe The Hope Connection would be a good fit for you.
