I believe it is an honor to be trusted with a person's deepest emotions. I am here to offer you a space that you feel supported, understood, and challenged to explore those difficult and seemingly hard to reach places within yourself. My hope is to foster a trusting relationship where, together, we can identify the strengths you already have, in order to cultivate change, growth, and healing. I approach therapy through an experiential lens (accepting and experiencing emotions that guide our behaviors).
As an LMFT intern, I see how each individual is shaped by relationships and events. My therapeutic work is done in a systemic lens: it is important for my work to look at each individual keeping in mind their whole system that surrounds them. I view counseling as a collaborative process where I strive to understand and honor each individual based on their own psychological, physical, and spiritual background. My work involves collaborating with people using relational tools and processes that have been shown effective for enhancing communication and resolving conflict.
In 2021, I received my Mater's in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling. I have received training in emotion-focused couple therapy, restoration therapy, couple therapy, family therapy, play therapy, and filial therapy. I obtained my Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Family and Human Services from the University of Oregon.
As a board registered intern, I am continuing to accumulate hours toward licensure and am under the supervision of Michelle Engblom-Deglmann PhD. LMFT License #T1004
